In July and August 2019, 565 children from our communities in East Amman/Jabal Al Natheef, Al Tafileh and Al Beidha benefited from summer clubs. In Ruwwad East Amman/Jabal Al Natheef, the main focus was on neuroscience, where children explored the different parts of the brain and their functions, neuroplasticity and its role in learning and changing behavior. Children applied the knowledge and skills gained in creating different projects for tackling social issues in the neighborhood and displayed their projects in the closing ceremony. In Ruwwad Al Tafileh, the “Grandchildren of Harvesters” camp focused on exploring the cultural heritage associated with farming in Al Tafileh. In Beidha, the camps held interactive sessions on art and culture.
