Ruwwad East Amman/Jabal Al Natheef – Community Meeting

Ruwwad East Amman/Jabal Al Natheef hosted a community meeting in April 2019, which involved 50 individuals representing schools, associations and the different governmental and non-governmental organizations in the area of Jabal Al Natheef and Al Mareekh. The meeting reinforced the positive relationship with the community in which Ruwwad operates and resulted in documenting recommendations that will enhance work to better serve this community.

Mentoring Day 2019

Eighteen experts from different professional backgrounds and fields enriched the knowledge of Ruwwad’s scholars during Annual Mentorship Day. During interactive breakout sessions, 84 youth scholars discussed with mentors the challenges and opportunities in each area of specialty.

Marathon Training

In October 2019, 30 children participated in a marathon training which focused on running through a frequent series of warm-up exercises, stretches, fast and slow runs around the track and stretching at the end of the exercise.

Ruwwad’s participation in the Marathon Training aims to improve the athletic skills of children and increase the participation of children in the various activities that improve their well-being.

Children’s Entrepreneurship Session - أنا ريادي

In August 2019, 18 children benefited from an entrepreneurship session conducted by youth scholars who volunteer with the Children’s Program as part of their community service journey.

Ruwwad’s Entrepreneurship Sessions aims to develop children’s knowledge, skills and attitudes to participate actively and responsibly, and enhance their self-management skills, one of the main learning areas in the inquiry-based approach.

Storytelling Workshop

From September until November 2019, and in partnership with Raneen Foundation’s Audio Stories, 17 children participated in storytelling workshops which focused on promoting positive values through listening.

Ruwwad adopts the inquiry-based learning approach which always seeks to enrich children with the best learning practices and skills. The storytelling workshops are where the Audio Storytelling Club support children in developing their listening skills.

For the sake of Art Day

Since Ruwwad launched the creative arts workshop in 2006, it became a cornerstone of the child development program. In 2010, Ruwwad adopted the inquiry-based learning approach in establishing creative arts learning units which help children develop their creative and critical thinking skills by exploring the relationship of art to our lives as well as the lives of Arab and international artists.
