AFD Microcredit Project: WATAD

Work Acceleration in Tripoli towards Advancement and Development Project (WATAD) aims to improve the socio-economic conditions of vulnerable populations in the neighborhoods of Jabal Mohsen and Bab el-Tabbaneh in Tripoli. The project supports the local economy through enterprise creation and existing businesses, strengthens the capacity of Ruwwad and improvs social cohesion between communities.

Ana Aqraa

Ana Aqraa initiative supports children six to eight years oldin developing their abilities to read, write and speak in formal Arabic "Fusha". The initiative, which was launched in January and implemented until May 2019, used multi-level resources graded to different levels of difficulty so that children of varying abilities could participate in the same class. Throughout 2019, 38 children took part in activities using a variety of interactive methods, such as learning through storytelling, games, cartoons, flashcards and playdough.

Atayeb Tarablus Community Kitchen

Atayeb Tarablus has not just become a part of the Women’s Advancement component but of Ruwwad Al Tanmeya as a whole. The kitchen contributes to Ruwwad's Scholarship Fund Program, generates revenue that supports ongoing projects and activities, and most importantly, provides income for women from disenfranchised families and their dependents.

Inquiry Based Learning: Active Citizenship

The Inquiry-Based Learning: Active Citizenship Project unlocks children’s curiosity and passion for learning through activities that take their natural sense of inquisitiveness as the motivating force for learning. In September 2019, children had the opportunity to become active agents in their learning and development, under the guidance of trained volunteers who created an enabling environment for self-directed learning.

Kids Genius

Through Kids Genius, children can develop their intelligence, industrial knowledge and discover their creativity every month through what they can do with their hands.

Nawat Consortium Project

The Network for Advancement and Work Acceleration in Tripoli (NAWAT) is an initiative launched and managed by a consortium of local and international partners, including Ruwwad Al Tanmeya, CARE International, Tripoli Entrepreneurs Club (TEC), SHiFT Social Innovation Hub, and with financial support from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
